Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 July 2026
This policy explains how Minnty Labs handles information when you use the Minnty Sound Android app. Contact us at support@minnty.co.uk.
Information kept on your device
Minnty Sound stores app settings locally on your device. These can include playback and appearance settings, connection preferences, and the IP address and port of a server that you enter manually.
The app discovers and connects to Minnty Sound servers on your local network. Audio and media information are transmitted between your devices to provide the service. Minnty Labs does not operate a server that receives or stores your audio, media information, local-network addresses, or app settings.
When you choose to capture or stream audio from an Android device, the audio is processed on that device and sent only to the devices or servers you choose on your local network. It is not sent to Minnty Labs.
Advertising and consent
The free version of Minnty Sound displays ads using Google AdMob. We use Google's User Messaging Platform to request and record advertising consent where required by law. You can review or change your choices through the app's privacy options.
Google may collect and process information such as device identifiers, IP address, app interactions, diagnostics, and advertising performance data to serve, measure, personalise where permitted, and protect ads from fraud. Depending on your location and choices, Google may provide personalised, non-personalised, or limited ads. Google processes this information under its own policies, including the Google Privacy Policy.
Purchases
You may purchase an ad-free entitlement through Google Play. Purchases, payment details, and transaction processing are handled by Google Play. Minnty Sound receives purchase status needed to provide the ad-free entitlement; Minnty Labs does not receive or store your payment-card details.
Sharing and retention
We do not sell your personal information. The app shares information with Google only as described above to provide ads, consent management, and Play billing. If you choose to open an external link, such as Ko-fi, that service's privacy policy applies to your use of it.
Local app settings remain on your device until you change them, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app. Google retains information it processes according to its own policies and legal obligations.
Your choices and rights
Where applicable, we rely on your consent for personalised advertising and use the app and Google services as necessary to provide their features. You can withdraw or change advertising consent through the app's privacy options (in the setings).
If you are in the UK, EEA, or another region with privacy rights, you may contact us to ask about access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability relating to information we control. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
Children
Minnty Sound is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app or applicable requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date.
